Yoon Chang

SCOPE MIAMI BEACH
CURATED BY: AMELIE LAURICE
DECEMBER 02 - DECEMBER 07, 2025

Dorado 806 Projects is pleased to announce our participation in this year’s SCOPE Miami Beach, featuring Los Angeles–based Korean-American artist Yoon Chang (b. 1986, Seoul), curated by Amelie Laurice.

Yoon’s work centers on the connection between emotion, memory, and place, expressed through layered gestures of color and movement.

We will be presenting selections from her ongoing series Mindscapes, where she translates the energy of fleeting moments into compositions shaped by movement, transparency, and rhythm. Working intuitively and influenced by automatism, Yoon allows each gesture to unfold naturally, reflecting experiences of migration, shifting environments, and the balance between belonging and distance.

The booth will also feature a small interactive element titled Fruit by the Inch. Each square inch of a loose canvas holding a “ripe” moment of its own. Some feel sweet, others a bit tart, others harder to name. Visitors will find small traces and fragments to pick up or wonder about—tiny hints of thought, memory, or something else entirely.

Trained in interior design at Pratt Institute, Yoon brings an innate sense of space and structure to her practice, while using painting as a way to let intuition lead. Her time between Seoul, New York, Los Angeles, and various coastal cities informs the gentle contrast and calm found throughout her work. We look forward to sharing her paintings at SCOPE Miami this year.
