Our Mission

Founded in 2021, Dorado 806 Projects is a California coast-based arts and culture collective empowering both established and up-and-coming local artists in the heart of Santa Monica.

Our studio gallery provides community culture and thought-provocation through an evolving blend of exhibits and workshops, to the westside of Los Angeles. Our creators constantly explore the roles of  introspection, inclusion, listening, humour, and play in art being made now, and the art-making process.

Dorado, the Spanish for golden, refers to the Golden Age -- a period of primordial peace, harmony, and stability. Marked by prosperity and creativity, Dorado 806 puts the "gold" in the Golden Age.

Dorado 806 opens its door, in a co-op fashion to all communities of artists, educators, non-profit organisations, curators, innovators, musicians, spiritual explorers, and futurists to create and thrive together.
